About O'Kane Consultants
O'Kane Consultants Inc. was formed in 1993 by Mr. Terry O'Kane, P.Eng. to serve the minerals industry with a primary focus on preliminary and detailed feasibility studies.
Mr. Mike O'Kane, P.Eng, opened the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office of O'Kane Consultants in 1996. The Saskatoon office initially focused solely on mine waste cover system design and applying fundamental research on unsaturated zone hydrology to practical problems. Projects since 2000 have included all aspects of mine closure as O'Kane Consultants Inc. have expanded their expertise and employee base while also collaborating with world leading experts possessing complimentary skills. In addition, O'Kane Consultants have conducted applied research to demonstrate the applicability of unsaturated zone hydrology to heap leach design and operation.
O’Kane Consultants opened an office in Calgary, Alberta and Brisbane, Australia in 2003. The company opened offices in Fort McMurray, Alberta and Anaconda, Montana in 2004 and 2007, respectively. O’Kane Consultants has approximately 20 staff comprised of geotechnical, environmental and civil engineers, soil scientists, a hydrogeologist, geochemist, CAD technologist, and administrative personnel.
